🐥🐣 I currently have a real super-broody hen among my Bavarian Bantams. She's raising seven chicks, which she hatched (successfully hidden from me) under a large-leaved horseradish plant. Completely independently and without help during three weeks of rain. Now, though, it's good that the little family is getting proper food and their own little coop. Experiences like this really help you understand how these chickens survived on old farms. "

Scratching, scratching, scratching! 💚🐔🤍 You should offer your chickens as much to do as possible during the first few days when new animals are introduced to the group. This way, all the animals are distracted, and the newcomers are less likely to be pecked. You can find this and many more tips in today's episode of Happy Chicken (episode 308), which just went live on my YouTube channel! "

🌽🐓🌽🐥 Corn on the cob is always a hit, especially homegrown, because the kernels are still soft and the chickens can digest them better. Simply wonderful 💚 "

Polish Bantams 💚 Dwarf Paduan chickens are always true gems. This year, for the first time, they've made it to number 20 in my big YouTube popularity poll of the most popular chicken breeds. 🥰 And rightly so! You can see the full 2023 results on my channel. "
