Week 1: Return
This first week of Lent is an invitation to return.
Not to routine.
Not to religion.
But to relationship.
We began with ashes — a reminder of our humanity and our need for grace. Then we moved into honest reflection, confession, and surrender. Returning isn’t about outward performance; it’s about inward realignment. It’s about letting God cleanse our clutter, quiet the noise, and restore what has grown weary.
Week 1 scriptures and prayers call us back to the heart of our Father and it made me consider:
• What distractions or habits are pulling my heart away?
•Where have I drifted spiritually?
• What would full surrender look like in this season of my life?
