Free River Press

Free River Press Free River Press is a nonprofit publishing house whose primary mission is to develop a literary mosaic of America written by people from all walks of life.

For the past twenty-four years, Free River Press writings have given people in urban areas an intimate look at rural life in the Midwest, the Mississippi Delta, the Southwest. Future publications will give rural peoples a close-up view of urban and suburban living, with stories from New York and Chicago. Free River Press began life firmly rooted in print but for the last six years has recorded its

writers for Free River Press’s radio program, “American Mosaic with Robert Wolf,” distributed nationally by the Pacifica Network. Their stories, which on some occasions are read by actors, are now heard on radio stations from Massachusetts and New York State to New Mexico and Idaho. “American Mosaic” brings the American conversation to more people, with the added impact of hearing the regional voices and accents of the writers themselves.
