In the coming days, one amateur will be crowned the 126th United States Amateur Champion at the hallowed ground of Merion Golf Club.

A club rich in history… where Bob Jones completed the Grand Slam in 1930, where Ben Hogan struck his immortal 1-iron in the 1950 U.S. Open, and where the iconic wicker baskets have watched over more than a century of championship golf. Merion has now hosted more USGA championships than any other course in America. This week marks the 20th, and the 7th U.S. Amateur staged on the East Course. A fitting stage for the game’s next great story to be written.

📍 St George’s Golf & Country Club 🇨🇦

Designed by Stanley Thompson and opened in 1929, St George’s Golf & Country Club sits in Etobicoke, just west of downtown Toronto.

A six-time host of the Canadian Open dating back to 1933, the course has welcomed some of the game’s great champions, most recently Rory McIlroy, who fired a final-round 62 to claim the 2022 title.

📍 Hollywood Golf Club 🇺🇸

Designed by Walter Travis in 1917, Hollywood Golf Club sits quietly in the seaside town of Deal, New Jersey. A brilliant example of Golden Age architecture, with incredible green complexes and beautiful bunkering — it’s long been considered one of the most underrated courses in the U.S. and now perhaps the world.

Thank you rbk for a great day.

📍 The Creek

Designed by C.B. Macdonald and Seth Raynor and opened in 1923, The Creek sits on a bluff overlooking Long Island Sound. A masterclass in classic template holes - including an island Biarritz on the 11th - it’s long been considered one of the great hidden gems of American golf.
