The Midland community is grieving the loss of Iván Duarte, one of two employees killed in a workplace shooting at JAT Partner Logistics on Monday.
According to the Midland County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the business near North County Road 1140 and Highway 80. Two workers lost their lives in the incident, and the Texas Department of Public Safety is assisting with the ongoing investigation. Authorities have stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
While the investigation continues, family and friends are remembering Iván as a hardworking, kind, and devoted family man. He was known for his positive spirit, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to providing for his loved ones.
