I almost didn’t take this trip up North to see my cousin. My calendar was overflowing, my brain buzzing with to-do lists, my nervous system running on cortisol and willpower.
But every time I think I can’t step away or feel that weight on my chest, life shows me that’s exactly when I have to create space for connection back to my home, pachamama. 🌿
When we unplug from the noise, we remember how to listen again. The forest becomes a mirror. The stillness starts reflecting back things we’ve been too busy to feel.
Research shows that just two hours in nature each week can boost well-being in crazy measurable ways. But the deeper truth is that nature doesn’t just heal us… it reminds us.
We belong here. Our rhythm was never meant to match this manufactured and chaotic world’s pace.
Somewhere between the pages of my book, the crackling of the fire, the hum of the trees, the night spent dancing in the back roads of the Gorge, I could feel my spirit exhale.
That’s the thing about slowing down I guess… you don’t lose time. You return to it. ✨
I hope you slow down and feel the wind this season.
