I started these calendars in 2004 with the dream of one day having MY OWN Lowrider publication. I got lost along the way and ended up becoming one of the most published photographers in history. Not a bad detour. But after almost two decades of working for the dream I’m finally here. It’s cool and all but the journey was the real reward of it. The countless friendships and experiences I’ve had with so many people from all over. The crazy part about everything is that I feel like I’m just getting started. Once I’m independent again I’m gonna start traveling everywhere and anywhere with a Lowrider. I want to experience and document it all. 🇧🇷 🇯🇵 🇦🇺 🇩🇪 🇫🇷 🇨🇱 🇷🇺 🇮🇹 🇵🇱 🇫🇮 🇵🇭 🇨🇦 🇲🇽 and more!
If I could give my younger self some advice it would be to be a little kinder to myself, enjoy the experience instead of always being so demanding of myself.
If I could give anyone wanting to Chase an impossible dream is to just start with what you have. Don’t wait until you have the right gear and all the knowledge because I can tell you from experience that you will never feel like everything is perfect. Just start, have fun with it and enjoy the process. If it’s doing something you love to do it won’t feel like work and as you go you will realize what you need along the way. Chase that dream. Do it in this lifetime, not the next one.
