5yrs ago is when I got the ball rolling on starting up my magazine. I’ve been sidelined with a stroke for over 3years. It took me 7months to finish the premier issue. I was living my dream of having my own Lowrider magazine for a year in good health.

The love I have for this is what has kept me pushing to keep it going with all my current limitations.

I started these calendars in 2004 with the dream of one day having MY OWN Lowrider publication. I got lost along the way and ended up becoming one of the most published photographers in history. Not a bad detour. But after almost two decades of working for the dream I’m finally here. It’s cool and all but the journey was the real reward of it. The countless friendships and experiences I’ve had with so many people from all over. The crazy part about everything is that I feel like I’m just getting started. Once I’m independent again I’m gonna start traveling everywhere and anywhere with a Lowrider. I want to experience and document it all. 🇧🇷 🇯🇵 🇦🇺 🇩🇪 🇫🇷 🇨🇱 🇷🇺 🇮🇹 🇵🇱 🇫🇮 🇵🇭 🇨🇦 🇲🇽 and more!

If I could give my younger self some advice it would be to be a little kinder to myself, enjoy the experience instead of always being so demanding of myself.

If I could give anyone wanting to Chase an impossible dream is to just start with what you have. Don’t wait until you have the right gear and all the knowledge because I can tell you from experience that you will never feel like everything is perfect. Just start, have fun with it and enjoy the process. If it’s doing something you love to do it won’t feel like work and as you go you will realize what you need along the way. Chase that dream. Do it in this lifetime, not the next one.

Shipping update on Issue 6. Today I’m shipping out all the sponsors boxes and all the prepaid orders. If you prepaid you noticed that I threw in a free poster issue with the first batch of issue 5. Expect a poster issue with every issue and on the delivery of issue 6 also expect a free 2025 calendar. Your order will be dropped off at shipping today. Everyone else orders will be dropped off starting Monday. A lot of you should have received an email with the tracking number. Your orders will be dropped off Monday. I appreciate the support from everyone but this is special to me. The man himself Alberto Lopez, took Lowrider Magazine from bankruptcy and built it into the number ONE automotive magazine in the country. Without knowing it he made thousands of us addicted to this lifestyle of ours, including myself. So to receive this text message from him with his beautiful’65 in the background, put me through the roof yesterday. Thank you Mr Lopez for the support and the kind words. I didn’t know how much I needed to hear that from you until you surprised me with the text. Hopefully I get to see your ‘65 in person sometime and feature it as well.

September is 20-years of chasing a dream. To commemorate this moment I’m releasing a limited edition hardcover with a timeline of each shoot that leveled me up in my photography career. I was going to wait until it dropped to announce this but in honor of it being 5/9 day, I’m sharing the next hard cover book featuring on the cover. Release date is scheduled for early September. Everything except the featured rides is set to be just like the original studio life book (including the amount of copies, so it will sellout again). If you were one of the few that got your hands on the original book, then you know how elegant this book is. Limited quantities, so don’t miss out on getting it when it drops. Official release date will be early September but I’m pushing to finish it by the San Jose show on August 24th.
