AKRON — Lincolnview’s (21-7) memorable postseason journey came to an end Wednesday afternoon as West Jefferson (25-5) defeated the Lady Lancers 8-0 in the Division VI state semifinals at Firestone Stadium.

Four years after their last trip to the state tournament, the Lincolnview Lady Lancers (21-6) are back on Ohio’s biggest softball stage.

The Lady Lancers will take on the West Jefferson Lady Roughriders (24-5) this afternoon in the Division VI State Semifinals, with a spot in the state championship game on the line.

The St. John’s Blue Jays (18-7) return to Cedarville University’s Yellow Jacket Field this evening with a Division VII Regional Championship and a trip to the OHSAA State Tournament on the line. Standing between the Blue Jays and their first state appearance since 2011 is the Newton Local Indians (23-4).
