Gloucester County Animal Shelter's Adoptable Pet of the Week: Meet Milo!

Milo is a handsome 3-year-old brown tabby boy with a gentle soul and a quiet nature. Milo came to us only because the other cat in the home began bullying him. Milo was very stressed in the home, and we are hoping to find this charming boy his new forever family. Milo is looking for a calm, quiet home where he can settle in at his own pace. Milo’s soft and loving personality shines through quickly. Before you know it, he’ll be rolling over for belly rubs and will be your friend for life. If you’re searching for a loyal companion, Milo may be the perfect match for you! He is available to be adopted through the Gloucester County Animal Shelter. Some dismiss the endearing opossum as unattractive – or even a nuisance – but this quiet creature is actually one of our gentlest and most essential wild neighbors.

Overnight lane and ramp closures are scheduled on Route 42 northbound, I-295 northbound and I-76 eastbound this week as the Direct Connection project advances in Bellmawr, Camden County. The lane and ramp closures, as well as traffic slowdowns, are necessary to install structural steel. Motorists are advised to use caution and expect delays when traveling through the work zones.

Hi Williamstown! My name is Monique Howard and I am the new Associate Editor for the Berlin, Sicklerville, and Williamstown Suns.

I am excited to join the team as Associate Editor and contribute to a community that I have come to enjoy writing about. My favorite stories focus on art and culture, community events, and the people whose experiences help define the character of a town.

I have lived in Williamstown for just over a year and have enjoyed getting to know the community through its residents, organizations, and local events. As a writer, I am always interested in finding the stories that connect people and highlight what makes a community unique.

My passion for storytelling began in childhood, when I spent my time writing poems and short stories. That early love of writing eventually led me to journalism, where I discovered the opportunity to tell real-life stories that inform, inspire, and engage readers.

As I continue to grow in this role, I hope to expand my reporting to include environmental issues, animal welfare, and social justice topics, while continuing to cover the people and events that make our communities thrive.

Outside of writing, I enjoy drawing, painting, and creating crafts, all of which allow me to express my creativity in different ways.

Please reach out to [email protected] for any story suggestions!
