When in Cancun be sure to take the twenty minute water taxi ride over to Isla Mujeres. Isla is said to be the safest tourist destination in the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. It's a fun spot with excellent sport fishing, dining, shopping, and one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world. While there be sure to check out the Blue Ballyhoo Restaurant at Enrique's Dock (Club de Yachtes). With Wilbur Smith – I just got recognized as one of their top fans! 🎉When I first became acquainted with the work of Wilbur Smith I binged on him for months. One day when I was driving home from work listening to one of his recorded books (in the Courtney family series) there was a passage so well written that I actually stopped my car on the side of the highway and rewound the recording so I could write down the words and how he expressed the scene. No one I know of writes better than Wilbur Smith.

The Fathers' Club is one of my first novels written 20 years ago. I recently republished it and in the process got to review my previous work and make a few appropriate changes. It's about my favorite book I've ever written. The story is a heartwarming action adventure where a group of men whose teenage children are involved in risky adolescent behavior instigated by some low life drug dealers. When they decide that the courts are ineffective they decide to take matters into their own hands.
