Have you ever met someone and instantly felt like you were talking to an old friend?

That was my conversation with .

Tim said something that really stayed with me:

*"If you can have an authentic conversation with a kindred spirit, it's like sitting around a warm fire. No matter where you're sitting, you leave with something."*

I couldn't agree more.

The older I get, the less interested I am in surface-level conversations and the more I value genuine connection. In a world filled with distractions, finding people who make you feel seen, heard, and understood is a gift.

This conversation is about so much more than sleep. We talk about nervous system regulation, breathwork, healing, recovery, resilience, and why authentic human connection may be one of the most powerful forms of medicine we have.

Watch this clip, then let me know...

“Life is such a journey, and spending time wishing things were different is a waste. We can't go back. All we have is right now.”
— Elizabeth Chance

I spent decades as the villain of my own story. And nobody else cast me in that role.

I labeled myself the black sheep of my family for years. And what that label did was make everything harder, lonelier, and sadder than it ever needed to be.

Years of 12-step work, grief, and a lot of honest conversations with God helped me finally see:

I was the one who put that label on.
No one else.

Letting it go — after carrying it for decades — was the first real freedom I ever tasted. You can't go back. But you can put down what you've been dragging forward.

What label have you been carrying that no longer belongs to you? I want to know.

Today, America turns 250.
And I feel so deeply blessed.

Being born in this country?

That's being born on third base, you guys.

I'm from St. Louis. Cardinals fan until the day I die.
So you'll have to forgive the baseball reference.

But it's true.

We are so, so blessed.
I hope today we can all come together and say it out loud .
We are proud to live in this country.

Proud to fly the flag outside our homes.
I want the America I grew up in.
Apple pie and baseball, baby. 🇺🇸⚾

Happy Birthday, America.
I love this country. And I love every single one of you.
Have the most amazing Fourth of July. 🎆

On the eve of America's 250th birthday, I can't stop thinking about something.

I've spent the last couple of weeks watching reels from the World Cup —
Europeans, people from all over the world, traveling to the heartland.

To the middle of this country.
To where I grew up. St. Louis.

And watching them experience our kindness.

Our warmth.
Our compassion.

Sometimes we forget that about ourselves.
Especially out here on the coasts.
I know — I live on one.

But the middle of this country?

There is a love and a pride there that runs deep. Every single day.
And I want to thank every single European who reminded us of that.

So tonight, on the eve of 250 years —
Happy Birthday, America.
