Stratford, Texas May 18th was an awesome storm but also a pain in the butt to get to. Stuck between 2 cells, one being tornado warned to the south and this monster approaching. Made the decision to go after this one. While I missed the tornado in Amarillo, this one made up for in structure.

I have a beautiful up-close time-lapse of this cell when it was full on bonkers that I will post later on down the road.

Getting a chance to finally do some edits. Here's a lightning bolt firing out from the Grady, NM supercell and hitting the tip of a wind turbine blade as shot from Clovis, NM.
While I have a shot like this from previous chases hitting a wind turbine, I love this one because you can see the full storm and the wind farm all together.
