NMDOT Road Report for Deming, Lordsburg & Silver City today.
The following are District One roadway maintenance lane closures and traffic alerts. Motorists are urged to exercise caution, reduce speeds, follow posted signs, and be mindful of personnel and equipment in the area. Please note that closures may be canceled without notice due to emergency requirements.

DEMING – Lane Closure
Lane Closure, US 180 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 163, 1 mile west of Deming to mile marker 164, Deming., will have lanes intermittently closed with maintainers in the area performing a mobile road operation. This closure will be lifted at approximately 2:30 pm.

LORDSBURG – LANE CLOSURE
Lane Closure NM 494 northbound and southbound from mile marker 0 Lordsburg to mile marker 1, will have lanes closed with maintainers in the area performing road maintenance. A flagging operation will be in place. This closure will be lifted at approximately 4:30 pm.

SILVER CITY- LANE CLOSURE
Lane Closure, NM 90 northbound from mile marker 40, 2 miles south of Silver City to mile marker 41, 1 mile south of Silver City, will have the passing left lane closed with maintainers in the area performing road maintenance. This closure will be lifted at approximately 3:00 pm.

Thank You for an Amazing Grant Year!

As another Keep Luna County Beautiful grant season comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank every volunteer, student, youth group, family, business, partner organization, and community member who helped make this year such a success.

Together, we cleaned roadways, removed litter, tackled graffiti, improved public spaces, and showed what can happen when a community works toward a common goal.

From first-time volunteers to longtime supporters, every bag of litter collected and every hour donated helped make Luna County a cleaner, safer, and more beautiful place to live, work, and visit.

While our current grant year has ended, our mission continues. We look forward to launching new projects, cleanup opportunities, beautification efforts, and community events when the next grant cycle begins.

Until then, thank you for helping us make a difference throughout Luna County. The impact you've made can be seen across our community, and we couldn't do it without you.

We can't wait to see what we accomplish together next!
