LPSO: Vehicular Homicide Investigation

Just after 7:00 pm last night (8/21/25), LPSO was dispatched to Magnolia Blvd near Whiteleaf St for a crash involving a vehicle & a teen on a bicycle.

Sheriff Jason Ard says, “The 15 year old male was airlifted to a local hospital where he would later succumb to his injuries. Impairment (on the part of the driver) was observed at the scene. Through the investigation, it was determined that the driver was over two times the legal Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) limit. The driver of the vehicle is now in the Livingston Parish Detention Center.”
