💊 One Pill Can Kill.
And fentanyl is still the #1 cause of death for Americans ages 18 to 44.
More than su***de.
More than car wrecks.
More than cancer.
That’s not just a statistic, that’s a wake up call.
Here at the Parish President's Office, we’re using national opioid settlement funds to fight back with awareness, prevention, and action. Because the next victim could be someone you love.

🚧 Drainage Progress Update – Week of June 30, 2025

We’re seeing real, visible progress on drainage improvements across Livingston Parish and we’re not letting up.

Here’s where we stand this week, weather and site conditions permitting:

✅ Hood Road: Final crossings are being wrapped up, and crews are cleaning the site. Once done, they’ll shift to Harrells Road to continue the mission.

✅ Watts Road: Rain and high water slowed us down, but crews used the time to prep Leader Road. Once Watts is finished this week, Leader will be next.

✅ Kinchen Road – Crews are on site all week continuing crossing replacements.

✅ Pea Ridge Road – Smaller crossings and added runs are nearly complete. We’re closely monitoring the weather before we move forward with the large culvert installations. A traffic control and detour plan is in the works and will be communicated well in advance.

✅ Black Mud Road: All major work is complete. Crews are now cleaning up and moving to Linda’s Haven to prep for the next job.

✅ Gene Hughes Road: Active work continues this week with multiple crossings being replaced.

✅ Lower Rome Road: Drainage work wraps up this week, followed by final cleanup.

✅ Pipe Rehab Crew: Rain held this team up last week. They shifted to Black Mud and Pea Ridge, and are now wrapping up Black Mud before returning to Perrilloux Road.

✅ Patching & Saddling Resumes. Work is now underway on roads where drainage is complete, including:
•Watts Road
•Perrilloux
•Hood
•Riverscape
•Tchula
•Indian Run
•And others as crews rotate through

Each week, we get a little closer to our long term goal: stronger roads, safer neighborhoods, and a more resilient Livingston Parish. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we invest in the future.
