Odebolt, Iowa – Rachel Burns, M.A., CCC-SLP, a speech-language pathologist with Kiron Speech Path, has officially announced her candidacy for the Iowa House of Representatives as a Democrat. Burns is seeking the District 7 seat, which includes Sac, Calhoun, Pocahontas, and part of Webster County.

Dear Client Families,
Business and politics are not supposed to mix, but the business of helping others is political by nature. I have decided to run for the Iowa House of Representatives in order to protect healthcare and education for all Iowans. Scheduling will remain flexible as usual through the end of 2025. Fire Crews in Denison responded to a house fire at 315 N. 15th Street earlier this afternoon. Crawford County Emergency Management says nobody was home at the time and no injuries reported. The fire is knocked out however extensive overhaul is now taking place. Please avoid the area.

*** Update: The juvenile has been located and is safely back with his family.***

The Denison Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing juvenile. The juvenile was last seen today between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m., wearing a black shirt with graffiti-style print, blue shorts, and gray shoes. Last known location was Pizza Ranch.
