❄️ THE COLDEST WEATHER OF THE SEASON IS HEADED OUR WAY! ❄️
THE DETAILS: A very strong cold front will reach Denton this afternoon (Tues. Feb. 18), bringing the coldest temperatures of the winter season to our area. Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing until Friday (Feb. 21) morning. While a wintry mix is possible this evening, the impacts are expected to be minimal.
COLD WEATHER TIPS: Be sure to open cabinet doors to let warm air circulate around pipes, let indoor faucets drip, and cover exposed pipes and outdoor spigots with insulation. Bring pets and plants inside, or cover them for protection. Drain and store water hoses, and turn off sprinklers to prevent icy sidewalks and roads. Never leave space heaters unattended or within three feet of furniture. Locate your main water supply valve in case of an emergency, and stay informed by tuning into the National Weather Service and local news for updates.
