Hale Centre Theatre: A Utah Success Story 🎬
Ruth and Nathan Hale founded Hale Centre Theatre in 1985 in a converted lingerie factory with 220 seats, writing their own plays when they couldn't afford royalties. After becoming a nonprofit in 1998, the theater found its permanent home in Sandy's Mountain America Performing Arts Center, now featuring two stages and serving over 500,000 patrons annually with 22,000+ season ticket holders. Do you create photo calendars 📅 or memory books 📖 for your family? 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

For the past 30+ years, I've made personalized calendars for three different families—mine, my side, and my in-laws. It's truly been a gift of love! 💝 The best part? Watching everyone check to make sure their favorite photos made it in. The pressure is real! 😅

My go-to is Snapfish.com 🖼️, where I also create yearly review books filled with photos 📸 and highlights from each year. I joke with my kids that when I'm gone, they can divide up these books and have pieces of my life documented. (They don't find that as amusing as I do! 😄)

And coming soon, a post on a project I've been working on all year using the photomyne.com app. 📱✨ Another gift of love in the making! 💕

Life is like a puzzle spread across the table. 🧩✨
One piece at a time. One moment, one experience, one adventure slowly creating the full picture. 🎨🌟
Sometimes you search forever for the right piece. 🔍 Sometimes pieces go missing. 😅 Sometimes you force connections that don’t quite fit, or stare at a section that just doesn’t make sense yet. 🤔💭
But here’s what I’m learning: God sees the picture on the box. 📦👀 He knows exactly where every piece belongs. The ones that seem lost? He knows where they are. 🙏 The ones that don’t make sense right now? They will. ⏰💫
Every detail, every piece, every season has purpose in His hands. ✋💖 His timing isn’t just good—it’s perfect. ⏳✨
So today, I’m trusting the process. 💪🏼 Embracing the piece I’m holding right now, even when I can’t see how it all fits together yet. 🌈
Because the Master Puzzler? He’s never once lost a piece. 🧩🙌🏼❤️

W̲a̲k̲e̲-̲u̲p̲ ̲c̲a̲l̲l̲ ̲l̲a̲s̲t̲ ̲n̲i̲g̲h̲t̲!̲ 🚨⚡
Our power went out for almost 3 hours, and it got me thinking: ARE YOU PREPARED? 🤔

For Christmas this year 🎄, I got the kids emergency preparedness items. It brought back memories of when church leaders encouraged us to build 72-hour grab-and-go bags when my kids were growing up 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. We kept them in backpacks 🎒 in the hall closet, ready to go at a moment’s notice. Every October 🍂, we’d swap out clothes and rotate snacks—such good memories!

But when we moved 📦, those backpacks didn’t make the trip (many of the kids had already left home 🏡). It was time to start fresh.

Last night reminded me why this matters. 💡

✅ The headlamps 🔦 I got everyone for Christmas all worked—except mine! Thankfully, I had a backup flashlight when I needed it✅ Candles were lit 🕯️ giving us lots of light✅ We had enough blankets 🛏️ as the temperature started to drop 🥶
✅ But my iPhone was at 30% 📱🔋 and I had to do some quick thinking how to charge it!

It’s never too early to start preparing. ⏰ I’ll be sharing some ideas that are working for me!

Years ago, I learned a lesson that changed how I approach what matters most: if we truly want something to happen, we have to schedule it. 📅✨

I'll never forget sitting in Sunday School back in 2011 when Dave Baer's mother, Jane, said something that stuck with me. She taught us that if we want to make temple attendance a priority, we need to practice "C̳E̳L̳E̳S̳T̳I̳A̳L̳ ̳S̳C̳H̳E̳D̳U̳L̳I̳N̳G̳." She was right—the important things in life don't just happen on their own. We have to be intentional about making time for them. 💭💛

I took that lesson to heart and started putting my temple attendance on my C̳E̳L̳E̳S̳T̳I̳A̳L̳ ̳S̳C̳H̳E̳D̳U̳L̳E̳. It's made all the difference. Those visits have brought me so much—peace when I've felt anxious, comfort during hard times, and answers to prayers I didn't even know how to voice. I've felt God's love there in ways that remind me He really is our Father, and He's there for each one of us. 🙏💫

🎄When your neighbor brings you homemade caramels for Christmas 🎄 and they’re such a hit, you know it’s time to continue the family tradition.

So I pulled out my mother’s recipe 📝 and got to work. They were loved ❤️, and now I’m determined to continue mastering the process. Practice makes perfect. Let the caramel making begin for this girl! 🍬

CARAMELS - Charlotte McDougal
2 cups sugar
3 cups whipping cream or 2 cups cream and 1 cup half and half
1 ½ cup light Karo
Dash of salt

Stir one cup cream and the other ingredients together over medium heat until the mixture boils to a soft ball stage (240 degrees). At this point add 1 cup of cream to the mixture and repeat boil to soft ball (240 degrees). Add another cup of cream and boil to soft ball. Pour mixture into a butter 9 x 13 glass pan. Cool. Cut caramels into ¾” x 1” squares or to size desired. Wrap with wax paper. Make 75 to 100 *Turn over onto paper *Put nuts in bottom of pan and pour over.

It all started when I was teaching fifth grade 📚 at Kiva Elementary in Paradise Valley, Arizona. The incredible Melany Terranova invited teachers over for a cookie exchange, and I knew I had to start my own tradition!

💕 Even when my father passed away on our original exchange date, we didn’t miss a beat - we moved it to February and it became even more special! 🌟

Now hosts her own December exchange, and the tradition keeps spreading. 🎄 That’s what it’s all about - creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Sweet crepes loaded with lemon curd 🍋, Nutella 🍫, Biscoff cookie spread 🍪, fresh fruit 🍓, and cream. The savory ones had bacon 🥓, eggs 🍳, and a mystery ingredient that made them absolutely irresistible!
Nothing beats starting Christmas with amazing food and even better company. So grateful for these special moments together. ❤️👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

As we stand at the threshold between what was and what will be, I find myself in that sacred space of reflection. ✨

This year brought victories I celebrate 🎉 and dreams I'm still chasing. Some goals crossed the finish line. Others? They're walking with me into the new year, and that's okay. 💫

The truth I'm sitting with not everything happens on our timeline, and that doesn't make our progress any less real. Inch by inch, step by step, we're building the lives we envision. Some foundations take longer to lay. Some dreams need more time to breathe before they become reality. 🌱

As this year closes, I'm asking myself different questions:
What version of myself did I become this year that I'm proud of🪞
Which unfinished goals still light a fire in me? 🔥
What do I want to carry forward, and what am I ready to release? 🎈

The new year isn't just about achievement—it's about evolution. It's about setting intentions that align with who we're becoming, not just what we want to accomplish. 🦋

Here's what I know to be true: God is in the details of our goals. When we invite Him into our journey, when we trust His timing and wisdom, miracles begin to unfold all around us. I've witnessed this in my own life—the way doors open that I couldn't have forced, the way provision appears exactly when needed, the way setbacks become setups for something greater. 🙏✨

So, here's to the goals we crushed, the ones still in progress, and the courage to keep showing up for ourselves. May we each pursue growth that honors where we've been and excites us about where we're going—with faith as our foundation. 💪❤️
