The king they deserved. Joffrey Baratheon sat the Iron Throne with no battles won, no wisdom earned, and no mercy in him. He was cruel because he could be, and everyone around him paid for it. The scariest part is that nobody put him there by accident. Every lie, every scheme, every crown placed on the wrong head led straight to him.

He had no dragon. No army. No title worth mentioning. And he outlasted almost every player in the game. Larys Strong never swung a sword, never rode into battle, and never wanted the throne. He just knew everything about everyone. In a war full of dragons, the most dangerous man in King’s Landing was the one nobody saw coming.

The dragons were never just weapons. Vhagar proved it. The Cannibal proved it. A dragon that picks its own rider, ignores commands, and kills when it decides to isn’t a horse with wings, it’s a player in the war. Season 3 has to treat them that way or the stakes won’t feel real.

Look at the record. He mocked his brother’s dead son in a brothel. He was accused of killing his first wife. He married his niece. He ordered two men into the Red Keep to kill a child and they killed the wrong one. He left Rhaenyra alone in the middle of a war to sit in Harrenhal and chase old ghosts.

Now look at the other side. He cleaned up King’s Landing when nobody else would. He won the Stepstones almost by himself. He took Harrenhal without a fight. When it counted, he flew Caraxes into Vhagar knowing he would not come back.

Every other character in this story gets judged for what they did. Daemon gets judged for how he did it. Fans forgive things from him they would never forgive from Alicent or Otto or Aegon.

So which one is he? A loyal man with a violent streak or a violent man who was loyal when it suited him? Tell me which side you land on.
