Since 1985, KUVO – an independent, public radio station – has provided a rare blend of music and news. We broadcast the very best in jazz, Latin jazz, and blues in addition to seventeen locally produced, culturally diverse programs. Our mission is to provide distinctive music, news, and informational programming reflecting the values and cultural diversity of our listener community. We frequently

feature live broadcasts of national touring artists as well as local musicians and students from our Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Performance Studio and broadcast remotely from concerts, festivals, and community events. KUVO is a subsidiary of Rocky Mountain Public Media, Inc., a Colorado nonprofit that is also home to Rocky Mountain PBS and the Sister Station of THE DROP 104.7. Community Guidelines:

Ever wonder where KUVO got its name? 🎶 Inspired by the phrase “qué hubo,” meaning “what’s happening,” KUVO has been the heartbeat of Denver jazz and community since 1983. Read the full story and celebrate 40 years with us!

This Sunday's edition of Salsa con Jazz will be a special posthumous tribute to NEA Jazz Master, 10-time Grammy® winning pianist, Eddie Palmieri. Join Carlos Lando and Arturo Gómez as we'll cover his highly influential career from the early 1960s through the 2020s. Carlos has been a friend and collaborator of Eddie since the 1970s. Palmieri was a strong supporter of KUVO for over 35 years including hosting KUVO's "Caliente: Latin Jazz with Eddie Palmieri", a syndicated show heard in over 200 markets. It begins at 2pm this Sunday on Salsa con Jazz.

KUVO Jazz joins the music world in mourning NEA Jazz Master Eddie Palmieri who was a friend and collaborator of KUVO for over 35 years. He played for KUVO ‘s 10th Anniversary, The 2004 NPR Toast Of the Nation from Aurora, at the Vineyards and many other KUVO sponsored events. In 2006 he hosted KUVO Jazz’s syndicated series, Caliente.
This Sunday on Salsa con Jazz, 2pm, Arturo Gómez will host a posthumous tribute to multi-Grammy award winning “Rompe Teclas”, -keys breaker- Eddie Palmieri, RIP at 88.
