Do you know where this is? Tucked away in the corner of the Valleyview school parking lot, this memorial plaque marks the Hiler Burying Grounds, where some of the areas earliest families rest, before Denville was officially founded in 1913.

The dates tell the story of Julia Ann Benjamin, Martin Hiler, Aaron K. Hiler, and others who were here long before our bustling downtown existed. These early settlers helped establish what would become the heart of our community, and their legacy lives on in the town we love today.

It’s pretty incredible to think about the generations who walked these same paths before us.

Buying local keeps our community strong 💪🏻🛍️ Week three of our new weekly series to share what we picked up locally—and hopefully inspire you to do the same!

✨ our love for the Nutella Açaí Bowl from knows no bounds (hold the coconut and banana!), and apparently we’re in good company. It’s their number one seller, outpacing all the other bowls by a landslide

✨we love the made-in-house bread from and pick up two loaves weekly, including their gluten-sensitive version, which is legit the best around

✨lunch from this week. Their mushroom slice is one of our go-tos, along with the shrimp scampi slice (divine!) and their tri-color pizza.

✨we also picked up some fresh seafood from .seafood to prepare a cozy dinner at home
