Let's talk about it.
Guilt, it's what us moms do best! And sometimes being a mom sucks. Our kids take everything from us.
Yes, I said it.
It's time to ditch the guilt and realize the fact that we are doing an incredible job, whether we work outside the home or not.
Society may try to make us feel like we're not doing enough, telling us we need to do this or that to be a good mom & I for one am sick of it.
I use to feel so inadequate as a mom because being " happy home maker" didn't come naturally to me. I don't make star shaped sandwiches & create amazing craft sessions for my kids. And for the longest time I felt so guilty for that, so I'd force myself to try to be someone I'm not and it just made me feel worse.
So now I do what makes me feel happy. I'm not a perfect mom nor do I strive to be. My children love me, no matter what.
I love my kids, but most days they DO annoy the hell out of me. And it took me a long time to be ok with that. I've learned to just laugh about it, and I'm sure that may annoy you, but we need to find humor in it all or we'll go crazy.
We need to able to feel good at the end of the day knowing our best is good enough. And we don't need to be perfect.
So let's celebrate the hard work, the dedication, and the love we pour into our families every single day.
No guilt or Shame.
Who's with me?
