🚨 SOLON OWI / CHILD ENDANGERMENT CASE 🚨

A Solon woman is facing charges after authorities say she was driving while intoxicated with three children in the vehicle.

Deputies say this happened on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, just before 5:00 p.m., in Solon, Iowa.

The suspect has been identified as Kelli Andresen.

Authorities say a call came in about an intoxicated driver with child passengers.

A Johnson County deputy says Andresen performed poorly on field sobriety tests and later tested above the legal limit.

According to the criminal complaint, her breath sample allegedly showed a 0.342 BAC.

For context, Iowa’s legal limit is 0.08, meaning the alleged result was more than four times the legal limit.

Andresen is charged with:

Second-offense OWI
Three counts of child endangerment

All charges are allegations unless proven in court.

🚨 DAVENPORT MAN FACING MORE THAN A DOZEN CHARGES 🚨

A Davenport man is facing multiple charges involving a minor.

Authorities say 71-year-old Calvin Bates was booked into the Scott County Jail Tuesday night.

The listed charges include:

Two counts of distributing drugs to a minor
Two counts of indecent exposure
Three counts of third-degree sexual abuse
Eight counts of lascivious acts with a child

Police allege the abuse happened between October and November of 2024.

Authorities also allege Bates gave the minor ma*****na.

A judge set his bond at $25,000 cash-only, and a preliminary hearing was reported as set for June 19th.

This case is still moving through court.

🚨 DAVENPORT MAN OUT ON BOND ARRESTED ON NEW CHARGES 🚨

A Davenport man who was already out on bond in a child sexual abuse material case is now facing new charges.

Authorities say 25-year-old Devin Shelsky was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Scott County Jail.

Police say Shelsky contacted online accounts that were actually being operated by undercover officers posing as a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old.

Investigators say he allegedly asked one of those accounts to send explicit photos.

Shelsky is now charged with:

Two counts of grooming
S*xual exploitation

This comes after a previous February case where he was charged with 15 felony counts related to possession of child sexual abuse material.

Authorities say the new contact happened while he was already out on bond.

🚨 PED MALL SHOOTING SUSPECT FACES NEW CHARGE 🚨

A Cedar Rapids teen already accused in the Iowa City Ped Mall shooting case is now facing a separate charge from a January vehicle burglary investigation.

Damarian Jones, 17, has been charged with third-degree vehicle burglary, first offense.

Court documents say the alleged burglary happened on January 16th, 2026, at the underground parking area for Hawks Ridge in Iowa City.

Investigators say Jones and four others allegedly checked vehicle doors, entered vehicles, and stole items.

One of the items listed in the complaint was an Xbox, which investigators say was later sold at a GameStop in Cedar Rapids.

This is separate from the April 19th Ped Mall shooting case, where Jones is accused of firing into a crowd during a large fight and injuring five people.

In that case, Jones faces multiple serious charges, including five counts of attempted murder.

🚨 DEADLY BETTENDORF SHOOTING UPDATE 🚨

Bettendorf Police have released new details after a shooting in the 2700 block of Magnolia Drive.

Police say this happened on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, around 5:36 p.m.

The man who died has been identified as 29-year-old Louis M. Robinson of Bettendorf.

Police say Robinson was found near 2707 Magnolia Drive with a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:30 p.m.

A second man, identified as 27-year-old Joel L. Brooks of Park Forest, Illinois, was later found after a separate 911 call from the 2500 block of Holly Drive.

Police say Brooks had a gunshot wound to his upper left arm and was found with a handgun.

Investigators say video footage showed Brooks arriving on Magnolia Drive, producing a handgun, and an exchange of gunfire followed.

Police say Brooks later admitted to firing toward Robinson and taking Robinson’s handgun before leaving the scene.

Brooks is now charged with:

First-degree murder
Intimidation with a dangerous weapon
Going armed with intent
Possession/control of a firearm by a felon
First-degree theft
Possession of controlled substances

Police say there is no known ongoing threat to the public.

🚨 FORMER TAMA COUNTY JAILER CHARGED 🚨

A now-former Tama County jailer is facing serious felony charges.

Authorities say 21-year-old Clayton Killian was arrested by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and charged with two counts of second-degree sexual abuse.

Both charges are listed as Class B felonies.

Court documents allege the case involves a girl who was 13 years old at the time.

Investigators say the alleged abuse happened in August of 2023, when Killian was 19.

Officials say the case came to light in 2026 after the girl’s mother contacted law enforcement with concerns about an alleged inappropriate relationship involving her daughter and an adult.

The Tama County Sheriff’s Office said Killian was placed on administrative leave after they were notified of the investigation, and he is no longer employed by the office.

Officials also said the alleged conduct did not involve his employment.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 29th, 2026.

A 25-year-old Urbandale man is facing a felony charge after authorities say child sexual abuse material was connected to a Snapchat account.

The suspect has been identified as Cole Edward Herman.

Polk County jail records list the charge as:

Purchase/Possess Depiction of Minor in S*x Act — 1st Offense

That charge is listed as a felony under Iowa law.

Public case details say the allegation involves inappropriate images of children allegedly uploaded to a Snapchat account.

🚨 DEADLY SHOOTING INVESTIGATION IN ADEL 🚨

Adel Police are investigating after two adults were shot Monday night in Dallas County.

Police say this happened on June 8th, 2026, around 7:50 p.m., in the 1600 block of Pleasant Street.

When officers arrived, they found two adults suffering from gunshot wounds.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second person was taken to the hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

At this time, police have not released the names of the victims, suspect information, arrest details, or what led up to the shooting.

Adel Police and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are handling the case.

Police say this appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

🚨 DES MOINES WANTED WEDNESDAY UPDATE 🚨

A Des Moines man who had previously been featured in a police Wanted Wednesday alert has now been arrested.

Police say 34-year-old Christopher Allen Long had been wanted on multiple active felony arrest warrants.

Authorities also said he had additional pending charges connected to violating a protective order, was known to go armed, and had recently made threats to assault officers.

Earlier this year, police said Long was last known to stay on the south side of Des Moines and frequent the Southeast 14th Street corridor, between downtown and East Army Post Road.

Now, Des Moines Police say Long has been arrested.

Authorities say he had methamphetamine and a shotgun when he was taken into custody.

Reported charges include:

Felon in possession of a firearm
Possession of methamphetamine
Possession of a stolen firearm

This is still moving through the court process, and all charges are allegations unless proven in court.

🚨 DAVENPORT CHILD NEGLECT CASE 🚨

Two Davenport parents are facing serious felony charges after authorities say their 10-year-old child was found severely neglected.

Andrew Warrington, 48, and Kellie Warrington, 47, are accused of keeping the child locked inside an unfurnished bedroom for extended periods of time.

Court documents allege the child was deprived of food, water, bathroom access, light, and basic mental stimulation.

Authorities also allege the parents kept the child away from medical care and church activities to conceal the child’s deteriorating condition.

The child was reportedly severely malnourished and needed treatment at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Doctors reportedly said that without medical intervention, the child was at risk of death.

Andrew and Kellie Warrington are charged with:

First-degree kidnapping
Child endangerment causing serious injury
Willful injury causing serious injury
Neglect or abandonment of a dependent person

Both were reported held on $2 million cash-only bonds.

All charges are accusations unless proven in court.
