Me trying to “rest” while the toddler screams, the teen rolls their eyes, the big kids fight over the last Taki, and my brain replays every awkward thing I’ve ever said since 2002.

It’s the first day of a new month, and tonight, we rest in gratitude.

Whether today felt like a win, a whirlwind, or just survival—you made it.

🌙 Breathe deep.
💭 Let go of what didn’t serve you.
❤️ Whisper a prayer for peace.

Goodnight, mama.
You’re doing better than you think.

🕯️ Today, we remember.

October 15 is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day—a sacred space to honor the lives and legacies of babies gone too soon.

💔 To the moms who’ve experienced:
– Miscarriage
– Stillbirth
– Ectopic pregnancy
– TFMR
– Infant death in the NICU
– Loss after a few short weeks or months…

We see you.
We remember with you.
You are still a mother.

✨ Tonight at 7 PM (local time), join us in the Wave of Light by lighting a candle for your baby—or someone else’s—and sharing their name in the comments below.

📸 Feel free to post a photo or drop a 💬 if you’d like a safe space to share your story.

💔 Loss doesn’t just take what you love—it changes who you are.

And that’s okay.

Whether you’ve experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss—please know that your feelings, your triggers, and your transformation are valid.

You don’t need to go “back to normal.”
You’re allowed to become someone new.

🕊️ We grieve. We grow. We remember.

Join us for our grief workshop on October 26th, you don’t want to miss it.

I want to congratulate our new Meet Up Squad for cultivating a space that feels like shea butter.

Soulaani Mamas (Soh-lah-nee /soʊˈlɑːni/)

“where souls gather.”
It reflects community, spirit, and ancestral connection.

We are excited to welcome Black Mamas into our sacred space to connect, build a village, and find respite in each other.

Reach out to any of us to get connected. 🫶🏾

💕 Breast cancer took both of my grandmothers.

And even though they’re no longer here, I carry their wisdom, strength, and warmth in everything I do.

They were nurturers. Healers. Prayer warriors.

And now I advocate for our community’s health in their honor.

Please schedule your mammogram. Please do the self-exams. Please check on your family history.

We can’t afford to wait.

There’s a misconception that faith means never questioning.

But I’ve learned that real faith is what carries you through the questions.

I’ve yelled at God. I’ve asked why. I’ve wept.
And I still believe.

💛 This is your reminder that you can believe and grieve.

You can hold on to faith and feel broken.

You can find healing without having all the answers.

Get To Know Me!

I’m Tina Branch, author of www.twistedbranchdiary.com

Originally a Chicago native, I currently live with my family in Des Moines, IA. I love Jesus, my family and friends. I’ve been married for 6 years to my wonderful husband, Nigel. We have five beautiful children, 3 adorable god-children, and a rascally fur baby named Paisley.

I consider myself to be a modern day Renaissance Woman. When I’m not blogging you can probably find me with my face glued to the computer on Ancestry.com or playing Sims, whipping up a new recipe, crafting with the kiddo’s, or snuggled next to my hubby binge watching Netflix and Hulu.

I love sharing stories about my many life experiences, motherhood, and our family.
