What can I say? I was a huge Talking Heads fan.
I was at this 1979 show in KC, MO.

As the reviewer mentions the place, Soldier Coliseum (think smaller version of old Veteran’s Auditorium) was barely half full. A large cluster of people (early mosh pit?) and a smattering of people in the balcony.
That smattering included myself and a couple of friends. The woman we were with fell asleep for half the show.

David Byrne is a bit more popular today than 45 years ago. He is now somehow the golden boy of Broadway….Go Figure.

I played this song from the late Jill Sobule on last weeks Ray’s Record RoundUp.
Ms. Sobule died in an early morning house fire just last week. The house was located just outside Minneapolis.
I saw Jill perform this song along with John Doe legendary leader of the L.A. punk band X. The two played the entire night as a duo.
The Bombay Bicycke Club was maybe 1/2 full.
