I have been a fan of Jules Shear for many years. I own a Jules and The Polar Bears LP and two CDs.
Jules certainly never became a household name but did write a number of great songs recorded by others. Cyndi Lauper’s “All Through The Night”, the Bangles “If She Knew What She Wants”, Alison Moye’s “Whispering Her Name”, plus a number of others.
I think it’s cool the Bangles appeared with Jules during his big debut on American Bandstand. As Mr. Clark says to the audience “The Bangles are only here to do a favor” and no it has never been “Jules year” also stated by Clark.

What a great way for Shear’s to spend “his 15 minutes of TV fame”!
