National retailers have slowly put "return fees" in place over time. This holiday season you may get sticker shock when you go to take an unwanted item back. Some big box stores raised the fee and are now charging $8-12 to take stuff back.

Please, just remember, the retail worker breaking that news to you did not make that policy. Please, be nice.
