This case was labeled as accidental per state records I requested and received in 2024. In my research on this case I found no mention of the state ever classifying the fire as arson or her death as a homicide.

I relayed this information to the Iowa Cold Case Unit, and they told me they looked into it and were not sure why there is a discrepancy between the card and state records.

This case is incredibly suspicious, and even though it’s concerning that this discrepancy exists, I am thankful that the Cold Case Unit has said they are looking into this case again because of it.

If you have any information at all please provide it to the cold case unit!
