God has you right where He wants you. What if that is true? That doesn’t mean that everything in your life is perfect or comfortable. But, what if there are reasons, that only God knows, why you are here?

“Who knows, but that you have come to this position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14

So many times in scripture, God used unlikely people to do uncommon things to bring about unbelievable Kingdom work. He stepped into unlikely, impossible situations and turned everything around. And He often used very ordinary, faithful people.

God is still working. And He may have you right where you are. What may He want to do through you in your family or workplace? Does it seem unlikely or uncomfortable? What if you are exactly where He wants you to be? For such a time as this? He can still work, through you, right where you are. - Sandi

Jesus says that these two things are most important to Him and required for us:

We MUST love God. 2. We MUST love each other.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind. And Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39

It is easy to view loving God as something spiritual and loving people as something optional. But that isn’t the truth of scripture. Jesus commanded and requires both.

I pray that God increases our capacity to love today. May we love Him well, but not stop there. Loving God and loving people… may that be our heart’s desire because it is the desire of His heart. – Sandi

What do you do when you get to the end of yourself? When you simply don’t know what else to do? I usually have a good cry. Call a friend. Or go into “figure it out and fix it” mode. But there’s a better way.

“We don’t know what to do, but our eyes are upon you.” 2 Chronicles 20:12

Such a simple response to uncertainty. When I don’t know the answer, I will keep my eyes on the One who does.

Chances are, you’re dealing with something that seems beyond your ability to figure out or control. What are you going to do? Why not press pause and keep your gaze on God. You’ll be right where He wants you when He reveals the next step. God, we don’t know what to do, but we are looking to you, alone, today! - Sandi

You are the ONE that God loves. It is easy to think of ourselves as insignificant or invisible to God. But Jesus was often drawn to the “lesser” ones: the children, the lepers, the outcast. He is always responding to the ONE in need….to you, when you feel lost.

“If a man owns a hundred sheep and one wanders away, will He not leave the ninety-nine and go look for the one? Matthew 18:12

At one point, you were the lost ONE. Maybe you still are. Either way, you are the ONE that God loves. Today. Forever. I hope that encourages you the next time you feel invisible or forgotten.

God left heaven to find you and bring you home. He will always seek you out. You are the one that He loves. – Sandi

God isn’t stingy. We “know” that. But, at times, I think we’re tempted to picture God as one who withholds or limits His good works in our lives. If you are feeling tired, weary and in need of a touch from God, this is for you:

“The eyes of the Lord are looking throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9

Here’s what I love about this verse: You don’t need to “convince” God to work in your life. He is on the “look out” for ways to give you strength and power today.

God knows your heart. He knows what you need. And He is intentional in responding to you and your needs. You can’t see Him. But He sees you and is eager to give strength to you. Be encouraged and receive much needed strengthened from God today!

Your heart may need to remember these two things: He is. He will.

“The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17

When I read that passage, I’m struck with how many times it says “He is and “He will.”

God IS…with you and He IS mighty to save.

God WILL…delight in you, He WILL quiet you with His love and He WILL rejoice over you.

May those promises soak deep into your heart and mind today. And the next time you start to doubt God’s timing or His faithfulness, remember that He IS and He WILL. – Sandi

When you’re going through “gunk,” the last thing you may want to do is praise God. But why let the enemy steal your joy?

“…Though the olive crop fails, and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen…
yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.”
Habakkuk 3:17-18

You may not get to choose your “gunk.” But you can choose your response. Who will win the battle for your joy and peace today?

Whatever struggle you’re facing, you can still choose to joyfully worship. He is still God, He is with you and He isn’t finished yet. So praise Him. For who He is. What He’s done. And what He will do because of His faithfulness.

You have reason to rejoice today. Don’t let the gunk win. Choose to trust in God. – Sandi

Want to know what you can do today to please God’s heart and change the world?

“What does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8

What a great reminder. Loving God and people doesn’t have to be complicated.

*Do the right thing
*Show mercy to others (and yourself) when mistakes are made.
*Focus more on your walk than your talk.

Heaven is worth the wait. And the hope you have.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain… I am making everything new…It is done.” Revelation 21:4-6

We have no real concept of heaven because we live in a world with suffering and evil. But can you dare to imagine and even hope that God’s promises are real? And that heaven is for you?

No more injustice. Pain. Temptation. Loss. No longing. Or regret. You will be with Jesus. Made whole. Everyone and everything made right. Hope fulfilled.

That is worth waiting for. Hold on. Keep hoping. Because your story isn’t over yet. And God’s plan isn’t finished yet. Heaven is real. Your hope, in Jesus, is well placed. – Sandi

God’s love reaches you, even when you’re heading in the wrong direction.

“The Lord provided a great fish to swallow Jonah and he was inside the fish for 3 days and three nights.” Jonah 1:17

Have you ever thought of the fish as being God’s provision and protection for Jonah? It was a rescue
plan. It was the “where” and “how” that Jonah experienced God’s faithfulness for Himself.
It is where Jonah said, “You brought my life up from the pit…I will sing a song of thanksgiving…”
Jonah 2:5-9
God loves you, even when you make poor choices. He rescues and He provides. If you are in a difficult
season right now, what if it is the “where” and “how” that you can experience God’s faithfulness in your
life?
When you see it and when you can’t…He is pursuing you. And He is faithful to rescue. - Sandi
