What do you do when you’re waiting? And waiting? The “not yets” can be so painful. If you’re struggling to believe that God hears you or will ever answer your prayer…

“As for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7

I want these words to describe the condition of my heart when I’m waiting. I want to wait and watch with hope. With confidence that God hears, knows, and is always working.

Perhaps the most challenging part of waiting is surrendering the outcome and timing to a God that loves you. He hears your prayers. And sometimes, His plan is different than yours. But it is always rooted in His love and faithfulness.

If you’re waiting, cling to Jesus. Place your hope in Him. Trust the outcomes and timing to Him. He hears you. – Sandi

‘This seems too big. I’m afraid. Where are you, God?’ If you’re struggling with big problems or big fears, this is for you:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid… for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6

That promise is for you. Today. No matter how big the giant, God stands with you in battle. Take a deep breath and remind yourself and your fear that God is bigger. He’s close. And He is faithful.

I’m not good at mustering up courage or strength. But I don’t have to. And neither do you. Draw strength from your Father. Find courage in following Him.

You can face today with faith and confidence in the One who stands with you and for you. – Sandi

“You were made to respond to God.” I heard that in a sermon and wrote it in the margin of my bible next to this verse:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
This is the first and greatest commandment.” Matthew 22:37

It’s a familiar passage, but sometimes my heart still misses the point. God made all of creation. But we (humans) are the only part of His creation made to respond to Him. And we aren’t complete until we do.

What does it look like for you to respond to your creator?

Maybe like…..loving Him back…from the inside out: your heart, mind, soul…all surrendered to the One who made you, loves you and wants to spend eternity with you.

If you want to “do what you were made to do” today, then respond to the God who loved you first. Love Him back. – Sandi

Meet Lunden, the winner of a FREE 4-year Tuition Scholarship to Missouri Baptist University! 🎓💛

Lunden’s heart for children in foster care and her eagerness to share the love of Jesus stood out in a powerful way. Her story is a beautiful reminder that when you faithfully serve your community, God can open doors you never imagined. Being part of surprising her with the Excellence in Service Scholarship was pure JOY, and a moment we’ll never forget.

Thank you, Missouri Baptist University, for the opportunity of blessing one of our listeners with such a generous gift, and thank you to everyone who applied!

How are you at being still? Being quiet? Trusting? If you struggle in those areas as I do, take this reminder to heart:

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14

The Lord has been growing me in the area of being still. Honestly, I don’t like it. Sitting. Quietly. Trusting. It all sounds good. But I’ve noticed that it makes me uncomfortable. Vulnerable. Weak. And I’m learning that is the point.

We are weak. We need a savior and a defender. And we most easily recognize that when we’re quiet and not striving to fix or do.

God knows that about me. And about you too. So, He gently reminds us that He doesn’t need our help in fixing anything or anyone. He’s got it. He’s got you. And He is fighting for you today.

You can be still. At peace. Confident in your defender. The Lord will. Because the Lord is. – Sandi

He is not a God of confusion. I heard that years ago and still need the reminder. If you’re feeling confused or uncertain of your next steps…He isn’t.

“By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them…and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light…” Exodus 13:21.

God has always led His people. He doesn’t take delight or orchestrate your uncertainty. He understands your need for direction and help. And He is faithful to provide it. Always.

God is with you and wants to lead you into the next right step. The next wise choice. The next season. He is your “way, truth and life” which means He has already prepared the way and He will stay close each step of the way.

Call on Him for clarity and wisdom today. Wait to walk until He reveals His way. He may not reveal the entire journey, but He will shine His light on your next step. – Sandi
