Elk Grove Village residents have long seen new industrial businesses come to town as they ask for restaurants. They now have their wish.

Several new restaurants recently opened or will open soon within the Elk Grove Business Park, with influences ranging from Indian to British to Mexican to Mediterranean.

A driver left an I-290/Biesterfield Road ramp, skidding down an embankment, on Sunday evening. The ramp was briefly closed; no injuries were reported.

A driver escaped injury Sunday evening after a Jeep Grand Cherokee drove off a ramp from Biesterfield Road to Interstate 290 West, according to Illinois State Police.

Elk Grove Village's property taxes will be going up, but not by much, says the mayor.

Elk Grove Village trustees approved a net combined 2025 village and library property tax levy of $28,530,681 at their Nov. 18 village board meeting. The overall levy represents an increase of 2.87% from the village and 3.69% from the library.
