Besides the upcoming state regulators' hearing on Alexian Brothers' proposed move of obstetric services to Hoffman Estates, at Elk Grove Village Hall, Mayor Johnson announced a Sept. 4 town hall with ABMC at Belvedere Banquets.

Officials from Alexian Brothers Medical Center are scheduled to attend a town hall meeting hosted by the village to discuss plans to eliminate obstetrics services at the hospital.

Illinois state officials will hold a public hearing at Elk Grove Village Hall on Sept. 16 to discuss Alexian Brothers' proposed closing and moving of its obstetrics services to St. Alexis in Hoffman Estates.

Elk Grove Village is set to renew its SRO contract with Dist. 59 tonight with a change in cost and adding a second officer for the five elementary schools in the village.

A proposed agreement between police and Elk Grove Township Elementary School Dist. 59 would add a school resource officer (SRO) to district schools in Elk Grove Village.

Dist. 59's superintendent will be out at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.

Elk Grove Mayor, community members, and hospital community members express concern about Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Hospital officials are holding a public meeting at the Elk Grove Village Public Library from 10 am to noon on Saturday.

Alexian Brothers Medical Center will host a public meeting at the Elk Grove Village Public Library from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday (July 19) to discuss the hospital’s elimination of its maternity ward, with plans to move maternity operations to St. Alexius Hospital in Hoffman Estates.
