When your mother grows older,
When her once-vibrant eyes now see the world more dimly,
And her tired feet, once so strong,
No longer carry her with the same ease -

Then offer her your arm with love,
Support her with a gentle heart and a warm smile.
There will come a time, heavy with emotion,
When you will guide her on her final journey.

If she asks you questions, answer her with patience,
Speak to her kindly, as she once spoke to you.
Respond with calm, understanding, and care,
For your gentle answers will be her comfort in these moments.

And if her mind struggles to grasp what you say,
Explain with tenderness and a soft touch.
For the day will come, filled with sorrow,
When she will no longer seek answers, only silence.

In these final moments, cherish each interaction,
Hold her close as she once held you,
Let your love be the light that guides her through her final days,
And find solace in knowing that your kindness will be her greatest comfort.
