Wahoo!! So exciting! 🤗 Lots of good things are happening in MN! 👏👏

Sixteen changemakers from central, northwest, west central, southwest, and—new this year—northeast Minnesota are finalists for two-year, $60,000 Initiators Fellowship opportunities. The Fellowship now serves 60 counties and nine Native Nations through a partnership with Northspan Group, Inc., Northwest Minnesota Foundation, Southwest Initiative Foundation and West Central Initiative.

“The passion and creativity of this year’s finalists is inspiring,” said Christine Metzo, Initiators Fellowship program manager.

Finalists will gather in late October for Finalist Day, where up to nine Fellows will be selected to join the 2026–2027 cohort. Fellows receive mentoring, leadership training, entrepreneurial education and a $30,000 annual stipend to advance their mission-driven ventures.
