It’s here! Our Season Three finale! Once upon a time, from 1964 to 1969, the Pleasure Seekers made history by being one of the first all-female rock ‘n’ roll bands to play, write, record, and perform all over the country and the world. When Patti Quatro had her epiphany at sixteen years old to start a rock band, little did she know what kind of magical journey she, her sisters, and all the members of the Pleasure Seekers would embark on and encounter. Our Season 3 finale episode is out tomorrow!! 🎉 Patti Quatro and I wrap up the fairytale of the Pleasure Seekers. We cover the remaining few weeks of 1969 and the monumental changes that would transform the Pleasure Seekers to Cradle. In Season 4, we will cover all things Cradle. But for now, join us tomorrow! Yes!!! A new episode is out now!!! 🎉 Patti Quatro
and I talk about the entrance of sister Nancy Quatro joining the Pleasure Seekers in 1969. Yet even though bandleader Patti had brought in her sister to vocally shake things up, there was still more that was percolating in her mind. This included a potential band name change and the nervy decision to let go of two band members.

Once the new line-up change was official, one of the first appearances the Pleasure Seekers made was on October 31 at the Black Arts Festival held at Detroit’s Olympia Stadium.

To this day, the controversy and chaos that ensued over what truly happened on that fateful night versus what was reported remains a hot subject matter. Patti reveals here the true backstory of the Black Arts Festival, the audience’s reaction, the physical damage done, the unkind press, and the not-so-friendly police response.

We close with another original song by the Pleasure Seekers called, “White Pig Blues.” It is the only blues song the band penned, and it spoke about the friction and tension between the cops and the younger generation of Detroit’s rock ‘n’ rollers.
