Astrology has long been about more than just traits, it’s about how we show up in the world. And for Cancers, ruled by the Moon, that “showing up” often begins with a face that’s soft, round, and undeniably magnetic. The ancient texts liken their features to the Moon itself: pale, full, lumi...

There are superheroes with laser eyes, others who can fly, and some who can stop bullets with their bare hands. And then there’s me, brought to my knees not by villains or cosmic forces, but by rain. Yes, rain. My kryptonite. The sound of raindrops against the window doesn’t soothe me, it sedate...

What a day in Detroit!
We had an incredible time at Detroit Book City’s 6th Annual Juneteenth Books, Music & Arts Fair! From the powerful storytelling and live performances to the vibrant author/artist showcase (shout out to everyone who stopped by my table and supported my work 💛), it was a true celebration of FREEDOM through literature, art, and culture.
Special thanks to Raise Hope & Foster Dreams for sponsoring this unforgettable day and to all the new readers who picked up copies of my books—I’m honored and grateful for every conversation and connection made.
To the outstanding vendors, performers, volunteers, and organizers: thank you for creating space for Black brilliance to shine.
Until next year, Detroit.

Watching the news these days often means checking to see how your local sports team is doing, proposed changes to town plans or new shops opening on the nearest street. Local news keeps people up to date on everything that’s going on in a community, but also plays a vital role in holding local councils and institutions accountable.
We recognize the important role Master Mind Media will play in how people get new information in Islandview (and abroad), and we want to do more to support local writers and on-air talent. For this reason, we’re launching the Master's “” Journalism Project.
Our objective is to first teach the importance of having and sharing your voice, regardless of socioeconomic status, because it’s valid. It’s important for people to have access to the tools of journalism (AP, broadcast style, or other) writing foundation, fundamentals of visual storytelling, and public speaking).
