* What made you want to be part of the podcast?

💥I really enjoy marketing and making social media a fun place for small businesses. So to be able to learn even more about this kind of work is great.

* What’s your favorite part about meeting local business owners?

💥 I love to hear their hustle I want to learn from those who have been doing this way longer than I have. I own a gift shop in Waterford. 3 years down and many more to go hopefully

* What do you actually DO behind the scenes? 👀

💥So I get leads for James I search for small businesses in Michigan who I think would be great guests. I do the emails the booking and the social media content.

* How many social media pages do you run and how do you stay sane?

💥 so I run 4 social media pages on Facebook. One being my store The Hatchery co and few other small business’s in the area plus this one. I stay sane because this kind of stuff my brain thrives on! So it actually relaxes me to create content.

* What’s something people don’t realize about running a small business?

💥 that it isn’t just fun and games what you see us post and all the good stuff is just what you see. There is a lot of sacrifice, dedication and blood sweat and tears that goes on. We cannot survive without the community supporting.

* What inspired you to open The Hatchery Co?

💥 I have ALWAYS wanted a store. I love making people feel cozy at home and make them laugh. I love cool art and weird trinkets. It’s been a dream and I got the chance so I went for it 3 years ago and it just exploded!

* Describe your shop vibe in 3 words.

💥 fun, unique and personable

* Funniest customer interaction you’ve ever had?

💥 o man… I have alot of those. My customers and I laugh a lot together I like the fact my customers can joke around with me.

* What’s your coffee order during editing/posting days?

💥 ughh I don’t order I make at home but if I did it’s anything caramel drizzle lol

* What’s one thing you wish more people understood about supporting local?

💥 that we truly work hard to make the community happy and give them something fun to do. That we will not survive without them.

* Most chaotic business owner moment so far?

💥‼️It has to be the people that dislike what I sell lol

* If your businesses had a theme song what would it be?

💥Oh gosh idk I like to many songs

Hustle isn’t always loud. Sometimes it looks like exhaustion, overthinking, sacrifice, taking risks, figuring it out as you go, and still waking up every day determined to make something happen.

A lot of local business owners are carrying more than people realize. But they keep showing up anyway. 🖤
