🇺🇳🇷🇺🇺🇦 Russia says if NATO supplies Ukriane with long range missiles, NATO will have direct war with Russia...

Russian officials have repeatedly warned that NATO supplying Ukraine with long-range missiles could escalate things to a direct NATO-Russia conflict, and some have explicitly used “World War III” language.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that if NATO countries let Ukraine use long-range missiles to strike Russian territories, it would mean “the direct participation of NATO countries... in the Ukraine war”. He said that “significantly changes the very essence” of the conflict.

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of Russia’s Security Council, wrote that under Russia’s new nuclear doctrine, “NATO missiles fired against our country could be deemed an attack by the bloc on Russia. Russia could retaliate with weapons of mass destruction... That means World War III”.

Moscow has warned that long-range systems like Germany’s Ta**us would make NATO countries “direct participants in the war” because Ukraine can’t operate them without Western satellite data, flight programming, and targeting support. Similar warnings were made about U.S. Tomahawk missiles.

After the U.S., UK, and France allowed Ukraine to use their weapons inside Russia, Moscow revised its nuclear doctrine. It now considers aggression from a non-nuclear state backed by a nuclear power as a joint attack. Putin later said the conflict had taken on a “global nature”. 🇺🇳🇷🇺🇺🇦

🇷🇺 Reports surface of an incident involving Russian President Vladimir Putin during a speech...

Today, a notable incident took place in Russia during a public speech by the Kremlin leader. Putin allegedly stopped mid-sentence, appeared unsteady, and then lost consciousness. According to eyewitnesses, security personnel quickly surrounded the stage and escorted him out. The Kremlin has issued a brief statement asserting 'everything is under control'.

Multiple social posts today show photos of Putin at podiums, claiming he grabbed the podium, turned pale, and fainted mid-sentence. Security then surrounded him and carried him out, with doctors allegedly giving aid on site.

Captions say the Kremlin has only issued a standard "everything is under control" line and hasn’t commented on his health. Rumors about Putin’s health have circulated for years. Recent months had videos of him coughing, asking for re-takes, swaying at podiums, and leg movements that sparked speculation.

The Kremlin consistently denies health problems, calling them "fabrications." Western intelligence sources have said there’s no concrete evidence of serious illness.

The story is trending heavily on social media with photos and captions describing a fainting incident, but there’s no official Kremlin statement confirming it happened, and no independent verification from major news agencies so far. The Kremlin’s only public line is that "everything is under control". Health rumors around Putin are a recurring pattern, and the Kremlin has repeatedly dismissed them. 🇷🇺

🇫🇮🇷🇺🇪🇺🇺🇦 The President of Finland, Alexander Stubb doesn’t want to be the main EU mediator between Russian President Vladimir Putin...

In an interview with Corriere della Sera, Stubb said Europe should start talking to Moscow again, but the question of who represents the EU is still undecided. He suggested the job should go to Europe’s biggest players — France, Germany, and the UK — while smaller countries like Finland or Norway can support but not lead.

In a separate interview with Finland’s Yle Radio Suomi, Stubb was asked if he’d take the role if the EU asked. His response: “If they ask me, it’s probably a question you can’t answer negatively.” But he added the condition that Russia would first need to agree to a ceasefire.

EU foreign ministers were set to discuss appointing a dedicated negotiator with Moscow at an informal meeting in Cyprus on May 27-28. Names floated include Angela Merkel, Mario Draghi, Stubb, and his predecessor Sauli Niinistö.

Finland joined NATO in 2023 and Stubb speaks Russian, which is why he’s seen as a credible option. Stubb has argued that Europe needs to establish direct communication with Moscow, especially if Washington’s approach doesn’t align with European interests. He thinks Ukraine is in a strong position right now, making dialogue more feasible.

So the picture is more nuanced than a flat refusal. Stubb is deflecting the “lead mediator” role toward the big EU states, but isn’t closing the door if asked — with strings attached. 🇷🇺🇫🇮🇪🇺🇺🇦

🇮🇷🇺🇸 "Iran will be “unwise” to challenge the US further," US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth...

So the “unwise” line is part of a broader message: negotiate or we’ll escalate. Hegseth’s framing is basically “ceasefire holds if you back down, otherwise we have bombers ready.”

He mentioned welcoming a ceasefire but called it “a pause” and said troops are “prepared to restart at a moment's notice” if Iran doesn’t comply.

He keeps pairing the threat with deal talk — saying Donald J. Trump is “the best dealmaker in the world” and Iran has a chance to make a deal, but strikes will be “strong” and “clear” if not. 🇮🇷🇺🇸

🇷🇺🇬🇧 Kremlin envoy Kirill Dmitriev has reached out to extraterrestrial beings with an unusual request, urging them to persuade UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to step down voluntarily in the interest of preserving Western civilization...

It’s part of a running bit of Russian political trolling. Kirill Dmitriev, who’s Putin’s special envoy for investment and economic cooperation, posted on X asking “dear aliens” to convince UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to resign.

Dmitriev wrotev on X, “Dear aliens, preparing to contact humanity, please demonstrate your omnipotence and kindness by convincing Keir Starmer to resign”.

He added that it wouldn’t need “abductions or interrogations” — just make Starmer understand “what people think of him” and that resigning could “give hope to Western civilization”. He called Starmer the captain of a “sinking ship” refusing to leave until everyone else is gone.

Russian outlet Vedomosti described it as Dmitriev “ironically” addressing alien civilizations. He’s made similar jokes before — in mid-May 2026 he said aliens were “waiting for Starmer’s resignation”.

Dmitriev has repeatedly called for Starmer to resign, including over a scandal involving Lord Mandelson and “leaked draft versions of Starmer’s speeches”. He’s also posted AI-generated images saying “It’s over” for Starmer.

So no, Russia isn’t actually negotiating with extraterrestrials. Dmitriev is using absurdist humor to dunk on Starmer and amplify narratives about Western political crisis. It’s geopolitical sh*tposting, Kremlin-style. 🇷🇺🇬🇧

🇺🇦🇪🇺 European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos expressed her enthusiasm, stating she would be delighted if Ukraine could join the EU during her tenure, highlighting the EU's commitment to a merit-based accession process.

She said she’d be “the happiest person in the world” if Ukraine signed its EU accession treaty during her mandate. The EU doesn’t set specific accession dates. It hinges on 2 things:
■ The candidate country delivering reforms/results, and
■ The technical negotiation process plus political dynamics inside current EU member states.

She noted Ukraine has shown it can achieve meaningful results, which pushes Brussels to keep momentum. Kos said she’s doing everything possible for the best outcome for both Europe and Ukraine.

Kos became Commissioner for Enlargement in December 2024, with a 5-year mandate until 2029. Ukraine got EU candidate status in June 2022 and accession negotiations formally opened in June 2024. The process usually takes years — the fastest recent case was Finland at ∼3 years, while the Western Balkans have been negotiating for 10+.

The “no dates” line is standard EU messaging. Accession requires unanimous approval from all 27 member states at multiple stages, so individual countries can slow things down even if technical criteria are met. 🇪🇺🇺🇦

A mother’s hard work runs from sunrise to long past midnight. She’s the first one up, packing lunches, calming worries, and making sure everyone heads out with a full stomach and a hug. All day she juggles bills, chores, school runs, and a hundred tiny emergencies, never asking for applause. Even when she’s exhausted, she still finds energy to listen, to encourage, to make a house feel like home. It’s not just the cooking, cleaning, and caretaking — it’s the invisible work of carrying everyone’s hopes on her back. That kind of strength doesn’t get enough credit🙏 💛.
