The last24 hours have been a lot. I'm still processing what it means to have this device and be connected to an app that's tracking my heart. Yesterday I didn't see the readings I expected, and my mind jumped to worst case scenarios, like whether a lead moved or if I'd done something wrong while healing. I finally started seeing readings, and that helped settle me. I'm sharing because I want to be transparent. Getting an ICD isn't just physical, there's a mental side I didn't fully consider. If someone out there is preparing for this, maybe my experience can help you mentally prepare, one day at a time. And for anyone who's asked how to help during my recovery, thank you.
