A lot of y’all gotta let go over your egos. Video production is a team sport. I say sport because I’m a former athlete and when a production is run right and every plays their role correctly, that’s when we win. Not everyone can be a director all the time, not everyone can be a DP every time. If everyone showed up to a production and started acting like a director then the production would not run smoothly. Gaffers are important, grips are important. AD’s and AC’s are important. PA and Runners are important. Makeup artists are important. Producers being on point with everything is important. Every role on a production is just as important as the next for a production to run in a smooth and timely manner. So stop getting your panties in a bunch because you “don’t get to be Director” or you “don’t get to be DP” I promise you people will respect you a hell of a lot more if you play your role and play it efficiently. It’s like playing basketball. Why is golden state so good an efficient? Because every single player on that team knows their role and plays it to the best of their ability. You don’t see Klay crying for not being recognized as the superstar of the team, because he knows his role is to compliment Stephs game so they can operate in and efficient manner. You don’t see Jordan Pools crying because he’s coming off the bench, he knows his role as a 6th man and he plays it to the best of his ability. He could probably be a starting player at this point on half the teams in the NBA, but he stays with Steph Klay and Dray because he knows how important his role is coming off the bench when steph or Klay need to recharge. Point I’m getting at, very cliche and corny but its true, team work makes the dream work
