Mazehouse began when founders Mike MikoChico Zazaian and Brian James Hill noticed that Detroit Techno parties were becoming...boring. Where did the sense of danger go? When did DJ idolatry become the norm? Why are people charging 40 dollars for one show? These are the questions we found ourselves asking each other. So, we said "fudge it," and created Mazehouse. We're here to redefine "Detroit Tech

no" and bring it back into the hands of the people. The DJ is *never* the rockstar at our shows. You, yes you, are the most important part of what we do. Audience participation is something we pride ourselves on.

This just in: the first preview of the flier for Mazehouse's Refuge party at the Rhino Bar in Detroit. Craft beers and cocktails on draft, killer music all weekend, a welcome break from the lunacy surrounding the rest of the festival. Come hang out. It's gonna be sweet.
