Hack, see through pencil case from tesco..... 50p and great for the carry on bathroom stuff!!!!
Hi! In your review of the Peak Design Everyday Backpack Zip 20L (V2) you state that you have a medium packing-cube in the top compartment. Isn't the one shown a size small? Asking as I'm planning to buy both backpack and and packing cube.
Are you all going to be reviewing the new Nomatic Navigator series?
Thanks a lot Pack Hacker. After you all showed a CODEOFBELL sling, and investigating it further, I grabbed one to replace my Chrome Kadet which was pretty basic and had no organization. I almost want to unfollow you all with all this money I keep throwing at bags and organization tools no thanks to you! 😆 Keep up the good work!
What would you recommend as the great travel backpack 40L and above? I'm inclined to buy the cotopaxi allpa based on your reviews. Still looking for other options. Thank you.
Hey! Have you all ever tried Rareform bags yet? I'm intrigued by them since they are made from recycled billboard material. It would be cool to see a review.
Hi Team Packhacker, I am traveling to Europe next week for almost 2 weeks and am thinking about traveling with a 40L backpack. One of the airlines I am traveling on (TAP Portugal) limits the weight of carry-on items to 8 Kgs. Have you ever faced a situation like this and have had to check your backpack in? If so, is it safe to check a back pack ? How do we make sure the backpack doesn't rip or someone doesn't break into it? I have seen different recommendations across the web ranging from shrink wraps, to carrying a foldaway duffel to put your backpack into and check it in. BTW the backpack I am considering is the Tortuga Outbreaker 40L. Thank you for your suggestions and for all the awesome reviews and tips!
Hey, could you suggest a jacket/rain coat that is the lightest, WARMEST (most important), with a hoodie from rain and packs to itself to a small size? I don't think I want to bring my 3 in one North face with soft shell and outer shell together to all my trips.... lol, thanks!
Ok, I can't take this anymore! Please help! you are the only ones who might help me! I carry in my daily backpack a small laptop, some small chargers, cables, a gopro with a tiny tripod. but sometimes I go out to shoot some photos when I travel and I have a DSLR (Canon 70D) with 2 lenses (1 pancake, and another one of Tamron 18-270mm) For those days I add up few batteries, 2 filters and sometimes a normal size tripod (46cm when closed). During any day I might want to throw in a jacket or maybe even add some groceries (or gifts if I travel) or pack clothes for 2-3 day trip. I had a North Face Borealis (which is about 28L) and it was nice for most of the stuff but a nightmare for camera gear, I got the Peak Design everyday 20L now and it's great but when I take my camera gear or even in a regular day I have almost no space left for anything else. I'm searching for a backpack that can look small on a daily basis and have lots of space when needed, waterproof including the zippers (or have a good rain cover in it) with a place for a tripod, hopefully suitable for camera gear and can expand enough to put some more clothes etc when needed. It should be suitable for a laptop (might upgrade someday to a 15.6inch but slim) and a place to put it on the handle of a trolly (luggage) and hopefully when it's empty I can flatten it as much as possible to put inside the luggage since some airlines have limitations on how many bags you can bring. if it has some secret pocket or an option to secure the zippers even better. I know I'm asking for a lot of things in one bag but I really want to find something as close to all of that as possible in a one bag.
Can you recommend a bag for a mobile graphic designer with an iPad pro 12.9 and Bluetooth keyboard?
Hey, you all OWN travel gear reviews!!! Thanks for such great info and delivered in clear, clean, crisp focused manner. Would LOVE a review of TRAVELAB FREEDOM PACK - day pack. Looks awesome. Also, more women specific stuff please, and a segment where your women folks talk in depth about the reality of how the made for men bags really work out over time compared to women specific packs would be awesome!
Would love to see a comparison of lightweight wheeled carry-on photography bags. I currently have the Pelican 1510 but it's pretty heavy alone and with my gear inside it's way over most carry-on weight limits. I've gotten away with it quite a bit in the US as they rarely check carry-on weights, but internationally I'm stung all the time as they are more careful to check. I realize this is a pretty niche category, however.
