Yall, I need a new name so I don't get into legal trouble, lol. The Legacy Keepers was my original name but is trademarked by someone that could come get us down the line.

Why I loved it:
It spoke to legacy.
It made us a "tribe."
It was aspirational
It rolled off my tongue
Had good energy

I already used ChatGPT, but I'm not getting the same emotion. Yall have any other name suggestions?!?!

Our new class starts December 3rd and I need to change up our logo and handouts and such ASAP for the new elders writing their books.

In 2019, I lost my mother to cancer. In 2023, I lost my father. It didn’t take long for me to understand what people mean when they say a library burns every time an elder passes. So much of their lives—memories, wisdom, and stories—went with them. I find myself wondering about their big decisions, their fears, their dreams, and their triumphs. There are so many questions I wish I had asked.

Business: Providing services or teaching? Which is better?
I was recently approached by an organization that wants to build their own self-publishing arm. I was hired to train their team on the basics of self-publishing using my Book Power Method. I'll be showing them how to produce quality books to preserve their studies and works for years to come.

Some may say, "Why would you train others instead of having them just hire you over and over? You're basically killing off your client load."

Two things:
1) There is more work than I could EVER do alone.
2) The more people who are trained and know how to use the resources available, the more knowledge we'll have preserved for the future.
and an extra one:
3) They pay me for my time and my knowledge. I'm privileged to have always been able to monetize my expertise because it is useful to others.

So it's a win/win to me.

Here's to more cultural preservation of our knowledge.
