Happy 11th Birthday to Assemble Sound. Crazy, tbh. Here’s 11 years in studio pics that expose us for what we are; just a bunch of people trying to figure it out. Sometimes we’re astounded by the insane naivety it’s taken to get to 11 years. Sometimes we’re exhausted by the never-ending work it’s taken to get to 11 years. Sometimes we’re perplexed by just how miraculous it was to build this whole thing off $15k and a credit card. Sometimes we’re really proud. Sometimes we’re devastatingly humbled. Most times though, we’re just fu***ng stoked that we still get to wake up everyday and do this work. Do this work from our favorite city in the world. Do this work with people and artists and clients we love. At all times, we are endlessly grateful. The push to 12 starts today!

This was hard to imagine for everyone who wasn’t our Head of Music , but it’s the vision that guided the transformation of the 1980s trident T24 console that once lived in a CBS Studios building in Ohio. Here’s a glimpse into the transformation process.

After 2+ years of insanely intentional work, it feels surreal to announce our new long-term home at . It feels even more surreal to announce it with . 4,000 square of raw industrial space transformed into a home for our record label, sync & supervision company, and artist development programming. All designed by our Head of Music .

We’ve always been driven by a DIY ethos and appreciation for unconventionally inspiring studios. That approach to space reflects our approach to music— Out of necessity as much as desire, everything should be subservient to intention and feel. Our 2nd Annual Ass Classic golf scramble was a dream. Thanks to everyone who came out and lost balls, yelled “fore!” across the fairways, won prizes, lost prizes, etc.
