Detroit Paranormal Expeditions

Detroit Paranormal Expeditions Visiting the most cryptic and distinctive locations around the globe… Still, there are some instances that remain unexplained.

Founded in December 2016, DPX researches and investigates reportedly haunted locations to help explain the causes of the phenomena experienced there. Through our experience as paranormal investigators and collaborating with fellow paranormal investigation teams, we seek to better understand the unknown. DPX investigates places ranging from small historic buildings to larger, more well-known locati

ons. We have found through years of investigating that many reported paranormal experiences can be explained rationally and scientifically. If you would like to suggest a location for us to investigate or have something else you would like to share, please send us a message and we'll respond as soon as possible.

We recently visited the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco, TX. Among the many historic artifacts on display are items connected to the famous Texas Rangers who tracked down Bonnie & Clyde: Frank Hamer and Maney Gault. Their story was portrayed in the 2019 film The Highwaymen, with Kevin Costner playing Hamer and Woody Harrelson playing Gault.

Some of the many items on display include:
• Fi****ms believed to be tied to the 1934 ambush in Louisiana that brought Bonnie & Clyde’s cross-country spree to an end.
• Clyde Barrow’s personal pocket watch, with “Clyde B” engraved on the back.
• The sidearm carried by Patrolman Ed Wheeler, whose tragic encounter with the duo in 1934 changed the course of history.

Today we visited one of the most infamous and tragic sites in modern American history: the former compound of the Branch Davidians. In 1993, this quiet patch of land outside Waco became the epicenter of a 51-day standoff between federal agents and members of the religious sect led by David Koresh. It ended in a catastrophic fire that claimed the lives of 76 people, including many women and children. What happened here sparked national debates on government overreach, religious freedom, and the use of force - conversations that still echo today. Walking these grounds, it’s impossible not to feel the weight of it all. A place where belief, fear, control, and tragedy collided - and changed the course of American law enforcement and public perception forever.

Todd finally got his first tattoo! It holds significant meaning for him, as he’s had four near-death experiences (NDEs). The Egyptian-inspired artwork shows Anubis, the Egyptian God of the Afterlife, accompanied by The Eye of Horus, an ancient symbol representing healing and protection. It also includes the Ankh symbol, known as the key of life. He wrote a blog about his NDE experiences a few years ago. Check it out here ⬇️

to Dec. 12, 2019, when we snapped this photo of the Historic Detroit 6th Precinct building. We were getting ready for one of our Holiday Haunts events there, which helped support the great restoration work owner Ed Steele was passionate about and doing so incredibly well. It’s hard to believe that we lost Ed more than three years ago now. He was a truly wonderful person who would do anything to help others. It was an honor to know him and to have been a small part of the work he was doing at the 6th. We will always remember him and the many amazing times we shared there.

During our recent visit to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, we saw a flag on display that flew above the USS St. Louis during the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. Also on display was a Christmas card that had been mailed by Glen Baker, a sailor on the USS California, on Dec. 5, 1941 - just two days before. Tragically, he lost his life during that battle, which launched the U.S. into World War II. These pieces serve as visual reminders of the brave men and women who’ve served our country. May we always remember them, and especially those who gave the ultimate sacrifice 🇺🇸
