We offer in-person, virtual and pre-recorded ballet classes for preschoolers. Join us as we explore ballet through song and play!

Dear 2026,

I’m not arriving with resolutions.

I’m arriving with a lifetime of becoming and a promise to recognize the accomplishments that carried me here.

I come to you as Ms. Shirel

a kid from Brooklyn who fell in love with dance and found her discipline inside NYC public school .arts, a award recipient who carried that love all the way to ,

and a woman who followed it into classrooms, studios, stages, coffee shops, and living rooms filled with children.

With motherhood and maturing as a woman, a friend, and a wife, I have so much I’m excited for and I look forward to serving my community in a really big way.

I am excited to share that I was selected for the 2025 Cohort!

Being part of the Starfish 2025 cohort means having the time, support, and community to try ideas and build new systems that allows the artist & work to thrive.

I have also received additional support from@culturesourcedetroit and for the Visual Arts through the !

Imagination Island is expanding its digital world into an in-person experience for young children and their grown-ups.

These grants support the creation of sensory-friendly movement, interactive installations, and playful spaces where early learners can explore imagination, emotions, and creative expression at their own pace.

I also want to thank and the Gilda Award. That support gave me the time and space to slow down and really listen to what my work wanted to become.

I’ll be using this funding to collaborate with artists, visit classrooms, and continue building gentle, welcoming experiences where children are invited to move, wonder, and create.

So thankful for the care, trust, and encouragement behind this work! 💖💙
