Rachel Grit - Jesus + ADHD

Rachel Grit - Jesus + ADHD Jesus + ADHD 🪴 As a busy wife, ADHDer, business owner, mom, stepmom, and coparent, I'm in the trenches with you.

I've juggled single motherhood, seeking connection in all the wrong places, building my own business and making ends meet while going through a difficult divorce, wrestling with the faith I'd had my whole life that didn't really feel like my own, and even marrying my best friend in the midst of his cancer journey. Jesus left the 99 to find me and since then I've also found peace, purpose, and the

abundant life He promises. Together, we'll explore practical strategies for managing distractions, overcoming guilt and doubt, building supportive relationships, and nurturing your body, soul, and mind. We'll also dive into the power of redemption, the importance of community, and the joy of keeping our eyes on Jesus amidst the storm. Oh, and we'll also dig into the "how," not just the "what." So, grab your favorite beverage, find a comfortable spot, and let's embark on this journey together. Let's find our true grit and experience the abundant life our Redeemer has in store for us.

Spooky season almost being here + driving by the most STUNNING abandoned building I’ve ever seen today has my brain spinning.

In all seriousness, Cam and I got a good chuckle out of this during service (none of these events are funny but we’ve learned to find the humor in our own situations and going 4 for 4 on Sunday morning was pretty funny to us). We’ve been through some STUFF (and the refining fire isn’t slowing down quite yet!) but God’s been so good. I wouldn’t trade what we’ve been through for where it’s gotten us and how God has been glorified through it. There is always another in the fire, friends. And oh is He good. But hey, Barry, next time pass out bingo cards, okay?

So far I’m 2 for 2 on husbands who talk in their sleep 😂😂

This kid brings me more joy than I can express. 😂

Here’s a small thing that went right today. My beloved Kobo became a brick and I was anticipating not being able to replace it because budget reasons … but the girl I bought it from graciously sent me the proof of purchase so I was able to have Kobo support replace it. 🙌🏻

Part of that’s left over from my single mom days. Going on business trips genuinely saved my life. I was able to leave behind the legal battles, constant conflict, crushing stress, and just focus on pouring my heart into something I was passionate about. Something about getting away from it all for a few days made coming home feel like a fresh start. I could be a better mom and more functional human when I was able to quite literally get away. I don’t get to travel quite as much as I used to since winding down my marketing business so I relish the little getaways I’m able to take when they come.

I v@x but try to avoid food dyes … ish. We don’t do tons of screen time, but when we do, it’s on a massive projector. We limit sugar but our kids eat nugs for dinner more often than I’d like. It’s all about ✨balance✨, right? I’m a firm believer that the stress of trying to live perfectly is just as bad for your health as any other “bad” habit, and life is too short to strive for perfection. Scrunchy moms, unite ✌🏻
