Everybody in town knows my gray 1988 Cadillac Brougham - deacon offered $13,000 cash Sunday.

It's sat on this same gravel lot behind the church 8 years, only Sunday service. Gray over white top, wire wheels, KZN-4602, all chrome, but moss on the north side and gravel dust and it still smells like leather and Old Spice inside.

Deacon Ray slid $13,000 cash in a church envelope under my wiper after service. I told him not yet. Now my daughter says if the whole town knows it, I can't sell it quietly anyway.

Do you sell a car that's part of the town or keep the legend rolling?

Sitting low in that foggy lot, this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 Tribute is hard to miss.

Bright yellow with black SS grille up front and SS panel out back, SS 396 badges on the fenders, thin black stripe down the side, chrome bumpers, Torq Thrust wheels with polished lips, dual exhaust out back. Brick building and chain link fence behind it, fall trees in the fog.

'69 has that perfect fastback roofline — muscle without trying too hard.

Would you keep it this bright yellow with modern wheels, or go back to Rallys and a factory color like Garnet Red?

What color would your '69 be?

My cream 1983 El Camino sat behind the barn - guy offered $19,000 cash today and I almost said yes.

It's sat on this dirt pad 5 years, only fair weather drives. Cream and white stripe, Cragars, bed liner, but barn dust and leaves and it still smells like old vinyl and fuel inside.

Mike showed up with $19k cash in a bank envelope by the barn. We're moving in 30 days and I gotta decide. Now Lisa says if we move, it goes.

Keep it or sell before we move? What would you do?

My daughter learned to drive in my green 1963 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 - guy offered $28,000 cash yesterday.

It's sat in this coin laundry lot 7 years, only Sunday drives. Fresh mist green, Cragars, white letters, but lot puddles and it still smells like old vinyl and gas inside.

Mike showed up with $28k cash in a bank envelope by the laundry. I told him not yet. Now my girl says if I sell her first car she's done.

Keep her first car or take the money? What would you do?

Pulling into the lot like this, the 1960 Chevrolet Impala Nomad still turns every head.

Faded gray with that honest patina, rust along the rockers, big jet-age fins, quad headlights, white-wall steelies with dog dish caps, long glass roof, Virginia plate 218-526 hanging on the back, blue cooler next to it like it just came from a family reunion.

Chevy sold the dream in these — family hauler that looked like a spaceship.

Do you leave that beautiful patina exactly as it is and drive it, or do you strip it down for a full restoration?

Found an old photo of my rusty 1972 Chevelle SS yesterday - guy offered $27,000 cash this morning.

Sat in a barn 32 years behind my uncle's place. All original rust, faded orange, black vinyl top peeling, dusty windshield and that old gas and mildew smell when you crack the door.

He left $27k in an envelope on my front seat at the car corral. I told him not yet. Now my wife Lisa says I'm crazy for saving rust.

Did I make a mistake saying no to $27k?
