Dagoretti Records is a Nairobi based music label promoting a wide range of works produced within Kenya. We release records every two weeks in both digital and cassette formats, highlighting bands and musicians who are either based in or have recorded in Kenya. Dagoretti Records simply exists to publicize music in the broadest sense. Rock, reggae, funk, electronic, experimental, indigenous... it's all the same to us.

"Dagoretti" is the confluence of three large pathways in Nairobi connecting all of Kenya together. It is also the Swahilified pronunciation of "The great." We like to think that we put out great records that connect distant places together. All music is free to download, but if you enjoy the music, please offer something to help support what we do.
