Chantilly at Brook Hill, circa 1820s. Chantilly is named for the famous mineral springs that were once located nearby. Constructed in the 1820s, the home was originally a two-over-two plantation plain style house with end chimneys and a gabled roof. By the 1850s, there were 2 additions to the appearance we see today. Beginning in the 1890s, the farm concentrated on dairy and butter production, and it came to be known as "Brook Hill". Brook Hill butter was sold throughout Georgia! Private residence.
