Allegedly the lone, male passenger and Lyft driver began to argue along the route.

Police say the driver parked into a parking lot where both men engaged in a physical fight before the driver produced a pistol and shot the victim.

The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Lyft suspended the driver from their Driver's Platform.

No charges had been filed.

A female told Keys deputies she was drinking & decided to take an Uber home but wasn’t sure how to order the ride.

While she was outside the bar, a silver SUV with an Uber logo decal on the windshield pulled up & asked her if she needed a ride.

Allegedly while she was in his SUV, Teixeira exposed himself and touched her against her will, before taking her home the sheriff’s office said.

Remained locked up at the county jail without a bond.
