THE LATEST — New Hartford Police responded to a 911 call right outside of the police station in the Orchard Shopping Center around 8:15 tonight.

Based on the investigation and information WKTV crews gathered at the scene, they now say it appears to be a self-inflicted, deadly gunshot wound. Police say the man was in his 80s.

There is no threat to the public.

We will have the latest on NewsChannel 2 at 11.

Plot twist… I’m back on the air! 👀

Very excited to be freelancing and filling in at my hometown station, WKTV NEWSChannel 2. This is where my love for news first began as an intern, so being behind the anchor desk here feels really special.

Not to get too sappy, but as many of you know, stepping away from the news business wasn’t easy. It was a long road, but it gave me the time I needed—and now I feel ready to come back and reignite a passion that will always be part of me.
