Yangy potangie. Yangy girl. Pook pook. The last O the Mohicans....
This baby came into our lives from the shelter along with her brother, Yen, as a last minute decision while visiting it for a completely different reason.
Given as a 4 year old birthday gift to G, they were much more and a gift to us all. While her brother Yen went on to heaven in 2022, Miss Yang continued to be a blessing to our home and even on our travels in her last few years.
She was an avid sailor and explorer, venturing to "Cat island" by SeaCloud and a RV constant companion and playmate, traveling to Starkville, Nashville, Branson, table rock lake and most recently, Tampa and Disney world in Silver Dolly...
Returning home just the evening before her most important and glorious ascension to see her Maw Maw Rose in heaven (who adored and spoiled her here), Im sure that reunion was something to see.
The old saying, "this one hit hard" is ringing very true here. However, while I prayed over her petting and comforting her as she passed, hoping for a change, I did say to God that I trusted his plan and I do.
For now, recovering is part of the grief over this very unexpected loss. They say that grief is the payment for the love we have and Ill just say that my Princess Yang, while coming from a shelter, must have been very expensive grief but worth every penny.
We love you Yangy girl. Now and forever. Til we meet again, pook pook.🙏🏻🌹
