American soccer lost one of its great pioneers on Monday night when Earl Foreman died. He was 92.

Foreman owned the Washington Whips franchise that began life in the 1967 United Soccer Association league with visiting players and coaches from Aberdeen Football Club filling his squad.

Former Dons players remember Foreman's impressive manner and one gimmick that spurred the team on to the USA championship decider.
